Electronics in the United States alone compose 11% of the total energy usage of the nation, and computers make up a healthy portion of that.  At PAGEthis we recognize our part in needing to do our share to use energy responsibly, and we would like to encourage all of our clients to do their part as well. There are various ways in which we have been able to lower our total energy footprint from investing in high efficiency power supplies for our servers to shutting off unnecessary lighting in our datacenter when it is not in use.  We have also partnered with our main energy provider to help purchase carbon credits to offset our usage and to help invest in the future of clean and efficient energy.

You can help too!  Simple things such as shutting down your PC when not in use, or turning off unnecessary extra electronics and lights is a simple way to help conserve even a little bit of energy.  If every person just does a little, it can go a long ways to helping reduce our energy footprint.

We have also setup our "Going Green!" program which allows our clients to help offset the cost of energy usage for powering their web hosting and other services by purchasing carbon credits through us which we use to obtain further credits through our power supplier.  For our hosting clients the cost is as low as $5/year in addition to their regular hosting costs.
