Your website is meant to draw in potential clients as well as aid current clients in finding the information they need.  So having this content is essential to your site's success.  But it goes deeper than this.  Without a good design this information can be relatively inaccessible.

One key reason for a good design is to allow search engines full access to all of your site's content so that it is all properly indexed and made searchable.  Many people simply go to Google, Yahoo, Bing, or other search engines and enter the company name and a few words about what they are looking for.  Without a well designed site, much of the information on your site can be hidden or inaccessible to search engine spiders and it will cause potential and current clients to not be able to find the information they are looking for.

Another reason is for accessibility purposes.  Without having an accessible site and standards friendly design, you can cause potential clients to be turned away or unable to view your site at all.  Utilizing W3C standards, accessible elements, and limiting the number of images will go a long ways in making your site more accessible and friendly for clients that may have an older browser, slower machine, or even using something like a screen reader.

At PAGEthis we strive to make all of our designs accessible and search engine friendly.  Our experience in designing and using websites allows us to create designs that are easily indexable by search engines as well as accessible to browsers of all types while meeting all accessibility standards.  To learn more about our designs and process visit our Design section of our website or contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
